About the Role
This 10-month parental leave cover role provides senior support to the Managing Director and leadership team of Medium Rare Group, overseeing strategic and operational functions across Medium Rare, Storyation, and Visual Domain. The position acts as a 2IC, managing priorities, advising the leadership team, and driving cross-functional project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Sponsor and lead cross-functional programs from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and seamless change management.
- Review and sharpen the commercial components of new business pitches.
- Act as a trusted 2IC to the MD, partnering with the EA to manage leadership actions, triage business matters, and synthesize complex issues into executive recommendations.
- Draft high-impact leadership communications, manage regular operating forums, and lead growth strategy days.
- Serve as the primary follow-through point for agency integration matters with News Corp.
- Act as the central point of contact for legal, HR, and compliance matters, liaising on privacy policies, client contracts, and company terms.
- Oversee selected agency-level third-party relationships and undertake initial stage-1 recruitment activity on behalf of the MD.
Requirements
- Proven track record supporting executive-level decision-making and confidence to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
- Ability to focus on outcomes, review financial/commercial structures within business cases and pitches.
- Skill in synthesizing complex information into clear, professional messaging, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage workload volatility with ease and bring a discreet, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent approach to sensitive business matters.
- Excellence in tracking dependencies, managing risk early, and driving projects to completion.
- Experience managing small administrative or operational teams is highly regarded.
