About the Role

The Technical Trainer will analyze, design, and deliver training in a project delivery environment, ensuring customers and employees gain necessary knowledge and skills. This role requires autonomy and substantial decision-making authority to meet business expectations, schedule timeframes, and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate needs analysis to determine skill and knowledge requirements.
• Develop and maintain training curriculum for assigned employee groups.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define training content, prerequisites, and outcomes.
• Format, research, design, and develop training course materials.
• Determine appropriate instructional delivery methods.
• Produce and edit training materials using existing resources.
• Collaborate with other trainers on concept design for consistency.
• Ensure training is effectively evaluated and recorded.
• Evaluate training material for continuous improvement based on feedback.
• Develop and conduct assessments to measure trainee progress and effectiveness.
• Report progress updates on trainee participants, schedule, and results to management.
• Comply with APAC PMO Governance Standards.
• Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System.
• Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
• Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Four-year degree/diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122).
• Experience with ITIL, ISO 20000 and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical training roles.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, instruction, and measurement of training effectiveness.
• Demonstrated success in designing, developing, delivering, and piloting training.
• Ability to interpret system specifications to design training material.
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook) and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Knowledge and experience working in a project environment delivering technical systems.
• Experience with products comprised of software applications and hardware solutions is highly regarded.
• Experience in Transportation, Automated Fare Collection Systems, or banking/financial sectors is highly regarded.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to explain technical or complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Highly motivated self-starter capable of working effectively in a collaborative team environment or autonomously.
• Positive, proactive approach with a focus on delivering outcomes.
• Creativity and willingness to implement new approaches.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Adaptable and effective in dynamic, fast-paced environments with remote team members and stakeholders.
