About the Role
Team Global Express is seeking a commercially astute Senior Manager - Commercial & Strategic Sourcing to partner with their Parcels business. This role will lead high-impact procurement initiatives to drive value, improve service outcomes, and support sustainable growth within Australia's leading transport and logistics networks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies aligned with business priorities and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
- Lead complex commercial analysis, including total cost of ownership modelling, market benchmarking, and supplier performance reviews.
- Manage high-value supplier negotiations and commercial agreements, balancing cost, performance, and risk.
- Partner closely with Parcels, Operations, Finance, and Legal stakeholders to shape procurement strategies.
- Drive end-to-end strategic sourcing projects from opportunity identification to contract execution and implementation.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers and monitor performance against contractual commitments.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to senior leaders through business cases and commercial analysis.
Requirements
- Extensive strategic sourcing and procurement experience (ideally 12+ years) managing complex categories and commercial portfolios.
- Strong track record leading commercial negotiations, contract management, and supplier engagement programs.
- Experience developing category strategies, business cases, and commercial recommendations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence diverse business groups.
- Strong analytical capability, including cost modelling, procurement performance analysis, and market assessment.
- Experience delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Experience within transport, logistics, supply chain, or delivery partner environments is a plus.
