About the Role

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a Project Manager, Construction - Retail - Food & Beverage to join our Consumer Experiences (CX) Market team in New York, NY. This role will lead the planning and build-out execution of fast-moving Retail, Food & Beverage, and Luxury projects, overseeing construction from inception to completion, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery within scope. The Project Manager will also lead internal project teams through all project execution phases, including design, documentation, permitting, and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project teams, ensuring project deliverables align with the contract, schedule, and budget, meeting MG2 quality standards.
  • Create and maintain accurate milestone-based project schedules and staffing workplans.
  • Assist with the development of project proposals and RFP responses.
  • Continuously monitor project financial status and complete intermediate financial reviews.
  • Produce and issue weekly project updates, including contract deliverables, financial updates, contracts, and permitting reports.
  • Lead or direct internal and external project team meetings.
  • Participate in QA/QC procedures as applicable.
  • Identify and focus on opportunities for continuous service level and results improvement.
  • Manage internal and external resources to ensure consistent quality and project profitability.
  • Manage team member performance, providing accurate feedback.
  • Perform bid, award, and ongoing management of General Contractors and third-party vendors.
  • Liaise with Client in-house teams (Operations, IT, Loss Prevention, Facilities) for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Perform procurement activities for Owner Supplied Items.
  • Coordinate with internal Construction Administration teams, contributing to shop drawing and submittal reviews, and RFI responses.
  • Perform periodic site visits to ensure project quality and schedule expectations are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a Construction Management role, or combined experience within relevant roles.
  • Experience with Food & Beverage, Retail, Branding or Luxury projects is a plus.
  • PMP Certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through all phases of milestone-based project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in various stages of development and complexity.
  • Ability to provide clear direction and accurate project updates to various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of contracts and contract execution procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Project Management tools.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Auto-CAD, and Sketchup.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications and instructions.
