About the Role
Midas is seeking automotive technicians to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance in a full-service facility, contributing to a successful team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Service tires and perform tire repair
- Repair car heating and air conditioning systems
- Address steering and suspension issues
- Service belts and hoses
- Maintain radiator and engine cooling systems
- Service batteries, starting, and charging systems
- Perform brake repair
- Conduct oil services
- Diagnose and repair check engine light issues
- Service mufflers and exhaust systems
- Perform visual safety and courtesy inspections
Requirements
- Ability to repair vehicles independently
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics
- Track record of high personal productivity
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
- Possession of a Provincial Certificate of Qualification
- Valid driver's license
- Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred)
- Ability to service both import and domestic vehicles
