About the Role

Mantra is a global AI startup aiming to eliminate language barriers in entertainment, allowing people worldwide to enjoy and discuss manga, anime, and games in real-time. We are seeking individuals passionate about connecting the world through entertainment and fostering mutual understanding.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend implementation for key Mantra Engine B2B workflows using Vue 3 + TypeScript.
• Design and evolve maintainable UI architecture, including component boundaries, state/data flow, and routing.
• Build reusable UI components and patterns to enhance delivery speed and consistency.
• Collaborate with the backend (Django) team on API contracts and integration, covering aspects like error handling and pagination.
• Partner with business and product stakeholders to translate user needs into clear specifications and high-quality user experiences.
• Improve frontend quality, focusing on performance, accessibility, reliability, and developer experience.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building production web applications with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and component-based frameworks like Vue or React.
• Proven ability to design and evolve frontend architecture, including state management, routing, component boundaries, and API integration patterns.
• Experience enhancing UX quality through performance optimization, accessibility improvements, effective error handling, and maintainability.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally to define specifications and deliver iteratively.
• Sufficient English proficiency for basic communication with non-Japanese speakers; fluency is not a priority.
