About the Role
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will build automated cloud platforms using modern CNCF technologies and exchange ideas with other cloud platform engineers to test new technologies and concepts together. You will advise clients on the strategic use of cloud services regarding effort, costs, and maintenance, and support them in introducing and implementing modern release processes based on CI/CD technologies. You are passionate about automation and possess sound knowledge of programming languages like Go or Python. You live an active DevOps culture within the team and successfully convey this philosophy to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud-native platforms based on modern architectural principles.
- Strategically advise clients on the sensible use of cloud services regarding effort, costs, and maintenance.
- Support clients in the introduction and implementation of modern release processes based on CI/CD technologies (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab/GitHub).
- Automate with passion and bring sound knowledge in programming languages like Go or Python.
- Live an active DevOps culture in the team and successfully convey this philosophy to our clients.
Requirements
- Completed a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, with a strong emphasis on profound technical understanding.
- At least 3-5 years of practical cloud experience from implementing modern IT projects.
- Proficient in container orchestration (ideally Kubernetes), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or StackIT), and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm, CDK).
- Live and internalize the DevOps philosophy in project work and possess the ability to strategically evaluate the appropriate use of cloud architectures.
- Fluent German and good English language skills.
