About the Role
We're building the backend platform that powers survey automation and relationship intelligence for some of the world's largest professional services firms. If you love systems design, API design, and clean backend engineering, read on.
Responsibilities
- Design service boundaries, data models, and REST API contracts.
- Build event-driven microservices on GCP Pub/Sub.
- Develop a webhook-triggered survey automation engine.
- Create resilient, observable services with retries, timeouts, and circuit breakers.
- Implement security and SSO integration for enterprise clients.
- Develop permission and access control systems.
- Build an integration layer to connect enterprise data sources.
Requirements
- Applicants should be located in the Pacific Time Zone or be willing to relocate.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Understand Java at the JVM level, including concurrency, memory model, garbage collection, and exception hierarchy.
- Demonstrate Spring Boot / Spring ecosystem depth or equivalent understanding of dependency injection and IoC.
- Show SQL and data modelling confidence, including writing queries with joins, aggregations, and window functions.
- Possess strong API design instincts, understanding of versioning, error semantics, and idempotency.
- Exhibit systems thinking under failure, considering retries, timeouts, idempotency, and consistency.
- Have experience building systems that handle real load, where correctness and reliability were constraints.
