About the Role
Drive a critical phase of an organisation-wide technology transformation by assessing the current environment, establishing strong governance and operating foundations, and delivering practical improvements. Work closely with executive leadership to stabilize the IT function, develop a technology roadmap, strengthen governance, and prepare for future initiatives like an ERP program. This is an outcomes-focused engagement where you'll make an immediate impact while leaving behind sustainable frameworks, processes, and capability.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to strengthen and modernise the IT function.
- Develop and implement an IT operating model that clearly defines strategic and operational responsibilities.
- Create a technology roadmap aligned to organisational priorities and future transformation initiatives.
- Establish IT governance frameworks, including project governance, decision-making structures, and demand management processes.
- Review the existing technology environment and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce technical debt, and optimise systems.
- Improve IT service delivery by embedding consistent processes and service management practices.
- Strengthen cyber governance, documentation, risk management, and compliance.
- Assess team capability, identify skills gaps, and recommend workforce and sourcing strategies.
- Build strong relationships with executive leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to drive organisational change.
- Develop KPIs, governance artefacts, and transition plans to support the next phase of the IT transformation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, ideally delivering IT transformation, operating model redesign, or large-scale organisational change.
- Strong expertise across IT strategy, governance, enterprise architecture, service delivery, and technology project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into practical, achievable outcomes.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks, demand management processes, and effective ways of working.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to build capability and drive sustainable change.
- A valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check are required.

Education Level
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent senior leadership experience.
