About the Role

KTBC/ FOX-7 is seeking a News Reporter with fill-in anchor potential to create content for live streaming news programs, digital news sites, social media platforms, and linear news broadcasts. This role requires a mindset beyond linear television thinking and a track record of executing non-traditional storytelling formats.

Responsibilities

• Create content across live streaming news programs, digital news sites, social media platforms, and linear news broadcasts.
• Execute non-traditional storytelling formats using video, text, graphics, and music.
• Tell stories for all platforms, prioritizing digital and social distribution.
• Take ownership of the day’s big stories in the field and in-studio.
• Appear on linear broadcasts and streaming news shows.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a reporter and anchor.
• A reel demonstrating the ability to shoot, edit, and produce content.
• A robust social media footprint focused primarily on news-related social media content is a non-negotiable must-have.
