About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer within the Virtualization & Embedded Software Development Tools team, you will design, develop, and sustain scalable cloud applications and automation solutions. You will serve as a subject matter expert for the SOLE virtualization platform, supporting embedded software development for VIP and SDV programs while ensuring technical, scalability, and cybersecurity requirements are met.

Responsibilities

Act as a virtual cloud platform architect balancing functional and operational requirements.
Lead cross-functional teams to define and document requirements for cloud applications and virtualization platforms.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to maintain virtualization capabilities.
Develop methods to automate deployment, execution, and maintenance of cloud-based co-simulation environments.
Design and integrate automation workflows for component, subsystem, and vehicle-level regression testing.
Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud applications, virtualization, and test automation.
Lead integration and deployment of automation capabilities within CI/CD frameworks.
Provide technical updates, demonstrations, and presentations to leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
10+ years of experience in cloud applications, virtualization, co-simulation, embedded software development, test automation, or validation.
Strong expertise in C, C++, Python, Java, SystemC, Quarkus, SpringBoot, Micronut, and CAPL.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), containerization, and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Singularity).
Working experience with Terraform and Bicep.
Hands-on experience designing and managing multi-region infrastructure.
Experience with Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Azure Event Hubs.
Experience with AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Glean, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Working knowledge of embedded control system test automation and co-simulation.
Hands-on experience with automotive development tools (Vector CANape/CANoe, dSpace SystemDesk, VEOS, AutoVal, Intrepid Vehicle Spy).
Hands-on experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Demonstrated success in leading complex projects with high levels of ambiguity.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
