About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer within the Virtualization & Embedded Software Development Tools team, you will design, develop, and sustain scalable cloud applications and automation solutions. You will serve as a subject matter expert for the SOLE virtualization platform, supporting embedded software development for VIP and SDV programs while ensuring technical, scalability, and cybersecurity requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Act as a virtual cloud platform architect balancing functional and operational requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams to define and document requirements for cloud applications and virtualization platforms.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to maintain virtualization capabilities.
- Develop methods to automate deployment, execution, and maintenance of cloud-based co-simulation environments.
- Design and integrate automation workflows for component, subsystem, and vehicle-level regression testing.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud applications, virtualization, and test automation.
- Lead integration and deployment of automation capabilities within CI/CD frameworks.
- Provide technical updates, demonstrations, and presentations to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud applications, virtualization, co-simulation, embedded software development, test automation, or validation.
- Strong expertise in C, C++, Python, Java, SystemC, Quarkus, SpringBoot, Micronut, and CAPL.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), containerization, and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Singularity).
- Working experience with Terraform and Bicep.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing multi-region infrastructure.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Azure Event Hubs.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Glean, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Working knowledge of embedded control system test automation and co-simulation.
- Hands-on experience with automotive development tools (Vector CANape/CANoe, dSpace SystemDesk, VEOS, AutoVal, Intrepid Vehicle Spy).
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex projects with high levels of ambiguity.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
