Responsibilities
- Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
- Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns
- Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
- Ensure seasonal areas of the store are maintained
- Perform opening and closing procedures
- Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests
- Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
- Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal
- Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
- Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines
- Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
- Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment
- Maintain professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
- Meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
