Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing environment, supporting a safe and engaging space for children to learn and thrive.
- Act as a consistent key person, offering comfort, stability, and strong relationships for key children.
- Observe and plan learning, recording observations and planning next steps to support each child’s development.
- Utilize varied teaching strategies, adapting approaches to meet different learning styles and interests.
- Create enabling environments by setting up inspiring spaces that spark curiosity, awe, and exploration.
- Support SEND needs by working with families and professionals to provide tailored support for children with additional needs.
- Safeguard children effectively by following procedures and reporting concerns promptly to the DSL.
- Carry out safety checks and contribute to daily safety procedures.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 2 minimum.
- Have experience working within management in Early Years.
- Possess Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English, including functional skills, if a Level 3 qualification was obtained after 2014.
- Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered prior to the interview.
- Successful candidates are expected to undergo pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS and barred lists check.

- £27,500 - £30,000 / year
