About the Role
Clean Scapes is hiring a Landscape Spray Technician. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for maintaining Clean Scapes contractual obligations on client properties regarding herbicide, pesticide, and fertilization management. Related duties include ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel assigned to chemical use and strict adherence to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper treatment methods for insects, weeds, turf diseases, and nutritional deficiencies through the safe and effective application of appropriate products.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot spray equipment, ensuring all equipment remains clean, functional, and in good mechanical condition.
- Ensure all field equipment complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee chemical usage compliance, including the accurate completion and review of chemical application and check-out documentation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of chemical applications in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Exercise sound judgment when applying chemicals, considering factors such as public exposure, weather conditions, and environmental impact.
- Promote and maintain safe working conditions during all spray operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
Requirements

- TDA Commercial Applicator License preferred
- While performing the essential duties of the job, the position requires physical abilities such as heavy lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, wrist-finger movement, digging using a shovel.
- The employee must be physically coherent and aware at all times especially when dealing with heavy machinery, equipment or while driving.
