About the Role

Second Front Systems is seeking an IT Engineer to build, automate, and scale the internal technology ecosystem for a remote-first workforce. This role involves owning identity, endpoint, and business systems while partnering with Security, Engineering, and People Operations to ensure a secure, compliant, and efficient employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Own identity and access management across core enterprise platforms including Okta and Google Workspace.
• Administer user lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, and role-based access controls.
• Lead endpoint management for macOS systems using Jamf, including security baselines and software deployment.
• Design and build automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline IT operations.
• Administer and support business-critical SaaS applications and collaboration platforms.
• Partner with Security on access reviews, vulnerability remediation, asset management, and compliance initiatives.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues and major incidents.
• Continuously improve IT operations through process optimization, documentation, and self-service capabilities.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in IT Engineering, Systems Administration, or Enterprise IT.
• Hands-on experience with Okta and Google Workspace identity lifecycle management.
• Experience managing Apple device fleets using Jamf.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting and API integration.
• Strong understanding of SaaS administration and modern cloud-based IT infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in remote-first environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must reside in an approved hiring hub: DC/Maryland/Virginia, Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, NC, Denver/Colorado Springs, CO, or Dallas/Fort Worth, TX.
