About the Role
Join our CI/CD Platform team as a Staff DevOps Engineer to shape shared delivery and platform capabilities. You will scale CI/CD workflows, strengthen Kubernetes operations, and enhance the developer experience through secure, resilient, self-service platform tooling. This role involves driving initiatives in GitOps delivery, AWS EKS operations, container orchestration, service reliability, and infrastructure security, treating the delivery platform as a product.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale a self-service CI/CD platform supporting secure, reliable, and repeatable software delivery.
- Standardize and evolve enterprise CI/CD workflows and multi-cluster GitOps delivery patterns using tools such as CircleCI and ArgoCD.
- Build reusable pipeline templates, automation, and internal tooling to abstract infrastructure complexity and improve developer experience.
- Build and manage production-grade AWS EKS infrastructure across resilient multi-region and multi-cluster environments.
- Optimize cluster efficiency, workload scheduling, and autoscaling using tools and patterns such as Karpenter.
- Support secure, healthy, and highly available container platforms.
- Architect and support service mesh patterns for traffic regulation, secure communication, and safe rollout strategies.
- Implement strong Kubernetes security controls, including IAM Roles for Service Accounts, Network Policies, and policy-driven validation.
- Build with resilience, observability, performance, and cost-efficiency as core principles.
- Partner with engineering teams to provide platform guidance, troubleshoot distributed systems issues, and improve delivery workflows.
- Mentor DevOps engineers, contribute to architectural reviews, and maintain an active hands-on role in infrastructure as code and system automation.
- Utilize AI coding assistants and LLMs proficiently to accelerate development velocity, generate boilerplate, and troubleshoot complex debugging scenarios.
Requirements
- 8+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE, or DevOps platform roles.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, provisioning, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure at scale.
- 3+ years of production experience administering Amazon EKS and containerized workloads in complex environments.
- Experience building or operating CI/CD and GitOps workflows in production, ideally with tools such as CircleCI and ArgoCD.
- Experience supporting highly available distributed systems with strong operational and reliability practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative approach working across engineering, product, and business teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to solve complex problems within established practices and policies.
- Data-driven decision making with a customer-centric approach and empathy for developer experience.
- Critical judgment to verify AI-generated outputs for security, performance, and accuracy.
