About the Role

The Program Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of Trinity’s Compassion Market, Compassion Meal, Compassion Space, Commons programming, Street Outreach and Compassion Wellness and Referral Programs. Trinity’s outreach programs aim to build social connections between diverse populations, develop trust with vulnerable individuals, and connect individuals and families with concrete supports in times of need. The Program Coordinator, Outreach, reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the team to create seamless programming.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of assigned programs including Compassion Market, Compassion Space, Compassion Meal, Commons programming, Street Outreach, and Compassion Wellness and Referral Programs.
  • Coordinate, implement, and facilitate assigned programs in accordance with Trinity standards.
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of programming, including classes, deliveries, distributions, and volunteers.
  • Oversee scheduling of necessary space for program functions.
  • Stay informed on upcoming trends and interests to shape program opportunities.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to increase participant audience and partnerships.
  • Research and develop ideas to improve outreach programs.
  • Maintain weekly/monthly reports on program offerings, participation, and lessons learned.
  • Manage vendor contracts and payments as assigned.
  • Track and order necessary supplies as assigned.
  • Provide support on relevant budget matters.
  • Plan and oversee community wellness retreats to the TRC as assigned.
  • Submit invoices and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Work with the Executive Director on projections to manage financial resources for classes, food, and supply orders.
  • Provide direct supervision to Program Assistants, Interns, and Volunteers.
  • Work with Trinity’s Volunteer Coordinator to secure volunteers for classes, packing, and distribution of care kits, groceries, and meals.
  • Work with the Executive Director to establish an inclement weather protocol for volunteers and serve as the staff contact for Trinity Communications team in decision making on program cancellation.
  • Work with the Executive Director on management of interns.
  • Work with the Executive Director to develop a system to track and follow up on individuals seeking services and resources.
  • Work with the Executive Director to develop policies and procedures across the Outreach area, including inventory and intake.
  • Provide weekly reports on assigned programs.
  • Collaborate with operations departments including facilities management, communications and marketing, and technology to ensure smooth and safe running of all outreach activities.
  • Develop partnerships with other institutions whose mission and goals are compatible with Trinity, in consultation with the Executive Director.
  • Represent Trinity Commons to others within and outside the Trinity community.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that promotes Trinity’s mission and core values.
  • Adhere to confidentiality rules and all other Trinity Church's policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Assume other related responsibilities and special projects as required.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience organizing and facilitating health and wellness programs, events, and/or trainings.
  • Timely submission of monthly expenditures.

Experience Level

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with program coordination.
  • Minimum of 3 years working or volunteering directly with youth and/or families in non-profit or community-based settings.

Education Level

  • Bachelor's Degree required or 4 years demonstrated paid or volunteer experience with program coordination, community organizing, event planning or related experience.

Salary/Compensations

  • $78,600 to $89,500
