About the Role

The Autopilot team is building an ecosystem to help members build lasting wealth by leveraging technology. This role involves making key decisions for banking and investment systems, developing across the stack with TypeScript, React, and Node/GraphQL, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Make key decisions for the future of our banking and investment systems that balance technical concerns with business concerns.
• Develop with TypeScript across the stack, building user interfaces using React and building back-ends in Node & GraphQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand nuanced business needs and communicate technical complexity and tradeoffs clearly when requirements evolve.
• Architect scalable solutions that may differ from initial requests but better serve the underlying business objectives and long-term technical sustainability.
• Own the full lifecycle of Autopilot technology, from initial planning and development through ongoing production maintenance and optimization.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience working with some combination of Node/TypeScript, React/React Native, GraphQL, and Postgres (or similar relational database).
• Interest in the bigger picture of how software benefits users.
• Understanding of observability and ability to solve performance and user experience issues.
• Motivation to understand intricacies of vendor integrations and ability to investigate and solve related issues.
• Desire to continuously grow as an engineer and help others grow.
• Ability to thrive in a growing organization and confront challenging problems.
• Willingness to take the lead on solutions.
