About the Role

The Village of Humber Heights has an exciting opportunity for a Personal Care Aide to join their team. This role is integral to providing holistic healthcare in a home environment, promoting a caring community with an emphasis on optimal health and life purpose for each resident.

Responsibilities

  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members.
  • Work in an accurate, quick, and safe manner.
  • Assist in serving meals and beverages to residents, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met while following safe food handling techniques.
  • Support with the preparation of catering functions and events.
  • Maintain a clean dining room and workspace.
  • Support and embrace the resident-centered social culture and deliver high-quality customer service.

Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs (5-20 lb. usual), and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs. (20-50 lb. usual).
  • Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
  • Able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum).
  • Hold a valid Smart Serve Certification.
  • Hold a valid Food handlers certification.
