About the Role
General Atlantic's Analysts form the core of deal teams, gaining exposure to the full investment lifecycle. This 2-year role involves close collaboration with deal teams, supporting new investment opportunities through prospecting, thematic research, due diligence, and deal execution across all sectors. Successful analysts may be considered for Associate roles.
Responsibilities
- Develop investment theses and industry expertise through research, expert conversations, market mapping, and due diligence.
- Provide investment sourcing and support quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Interact directly with entrepreneurs and management teams.
- Gain exposure to multiple diligence workstreams, including financial analysis, customer research, valuation, and competitive benchmarking.
- Perform proprietary research and analysis through calls and meetings with industry participants, customers, and advisors.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support investment due diligence and portfolio value creation.
- Contribute to investment memoranda and materials for the Investment Committee.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution in the US.
- Proven academic and professional excellence demonstrating drive and curiosity.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling and sound analytical skills.
- Ability to build and interpret complex financial models independently.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and business fundamentals.
- Passionate about identifying and supporting transformational, high-growth companies.
- Energetic, inquisitive, and entrepreneurial global mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
- Creative and solutions-oriented thinker with strong business judgment and professional maturity.

- Comfortable engaging with senior executives and entrepreneurs.
