About the Role

Pacific Fertility Center is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients, demonstrating excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, treatments and procedures
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures
• Help to safely position and transfer patients undergoing procedures requiring anesthesia
• Provide ultrasound guidance during procedures
• Set-up instruments, equipment and sterile trays for exams and procedures
• Clean, wrap and sterilize instruments
• Accurately label and prepare specimens for sending to outside laboratories
• Organize, stock and clean exam rooms
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in electronic medical records

Requirements

• Completion of Medical Assisting program and Medical Assistant Certification is required
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED, required
• Proficiency in keyboarding skills and experience with electronic medical records
• Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements
