About the Role
HSB is seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster to join their downtown Toronto team. This role is responsible for the prompt, professional, and effective investigation and adjustment of specialized personal lines claims, serving as a key liaison to strengthen claims capabilities and enhance the client experience.
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle claims handling, from First Notice of Loss to final settlement and payment.
- Managing the full claims lifecycle, from First Notice of Loss through to final settlement and payment.
- Advising insureds on claim-related matters and delivering timely, high-quality service.
- Negotiating settlements and resolving complex claim issues.
- Collaborating with insureds and client companies to provide guidance and facilitate effective claim resolution.
Requirements
- University Degree and/or CIP designation completed or in process.
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling personal property lines claims (home or equipment).
- Cyber claims experience is considered an asset.
- Valid Adjuster License permitting claims handling in additional provinces (e.g., New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and/or PEI) is considered an asset.
- Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Sound judgment and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and database systems.

- $75,420 - $87,990 per year
