About the Role
This role co-owns critical AI deliverables for AT&T Finance Operations, supporting Treasury/Payments, Billing Operations, and Corporate Financial Planning. You will translate business problems into actionable insights through a comprehensive workflow involving data extraction, feature engineering, model creation, and deployment to drive informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collect and clean data from structured and unstructured sources including datalakes and warehouses.
- Design and build complex data sets for strategic use.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering.
- Develop, tune, and deploy machine learning models into production.
- Monitor model performance and implement ML ops for diagnosis and resolution.
- Create visualizations and reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align efforts with business objectives.
- Develop and implement generative AI models including GANs, VAEs, and Transformers.
- Apply prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques.
- Lead moderate-sized projects with strategic value.
- Guide others by applying advanced principles and company practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 days per week office presence.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or Physics.
- Certification required in some areas.
- Proficiency in at least one data science language (Python, R, Scala).
- Expertise with modern ML packages and libraries (Spark, SciKitLearn, Pandas, PyTorch, TidyVerse, Tensorflow, Keras, Shiny, AutoML).
- Experience with IDEs such as Databricks Workspaces or Visual Studio Code.
- Understanding of agentic architecture and optimization.
