About the Role
Produce and oversee consistent Virtual Design Constructions [VDC] deliverables and activities across project/divisions.
Responsibilities
- Able to perform essential Senior VDC Engineer responsibilities and duties.
- Assist with the hiring process, development, and supervising of VDC team members.
- Assist with pursuit reviews and project information to develop content, produce industry leading realistic renderings, graphics, animations, or other visuals to support pursuits and interviews.
- Assist with overseeing all VDC related tasks and resources to support projects & pursuits.
- Utilize tools and software for site surveying and layout.
- Setup background models to ensure efficient project setup, utilize real world coordinates and project coordinates to support effective coordination, surveying, and layout.
- Set up and oversee cloud based collaborative workspaces.
- Utilize reality capture techniques and technologies to support project teams with producing useful deliverables to solve challenges.
- Utilize existing conditions capture technology data to compare existing conditions to design intent, identify discrepancies, and convert them into accurate models.
- Maintain and communicate approved design changes within Building Information Modeling [BIM] to ensure proper coordination throughout construction.
- Produce models to support quantity take-off for any needed trade.
- Generate accurate background Architectural models and elements.
- Incorporate various gap models to support the design intent and proper coordination.
- Develop proper model setup to deliver as-builts, facility operations, maintenance requirements, and provide close out deliverables.
- Provide VDC specific schedule input to support coordination, ensuring milestones are met.
- Conduct VDC-related constructability reviews and manage resolution of design conflicts with design and trade partners.
- Ensure resolution of coordination clashes to support efficient coordination.
- Develop modeling and detailing deliverables for at least one self-perform discipline.
- Conduct export layout, spooling, or other fabrication files based on required or standard templates.
- Setup and run efficient meetings; train project teams to run project coordination meetings.
- Support with writing, reviewing, and training operations on coordination work orders, scopes of work, and executing contracts, including consultant agreements.
- Build working relationships to effectively collaborate with project teams, craft, self-perform, clients, design.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of design, engineering, or construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
- In-depth understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Takes initiatives and can manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Displays critical thinking ability with effective problem-solving skills.
- Individual is relationship driven and fosters collaboration.
- Ability to travel to support company VDC needs.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of industry standard BIM software application; Revit experience expected.

Salary/Compensations
- $96,100.00 - $144,000.00 Annual Salary
