About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager for the Observability Data Platform (ODP), you will shape the platform's deployment, control, and operation. You will define product direction for the control plane and data layer, translate infrastructure trade-offs into roadmap decisions, and help customers maximize their observability investment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Observability Data Platform customers, their infrastructure challenges, deployment topologies, and cost-to-serve trade-offs.
  • Define product direction across multiple ODP surfaces, including the control plane and data layer, by articulating clear problem statements and desired outcomes.
  • Partner with engineering on technical approach and sequencing for ODP surfaces.
  • Lead conversations with design partners and strategic customers to understand platform pain points and validate product assumptions.
  • Guide solutions from early prototypes through General Availability.
  • Develop a command of the unit economics of owned platform surfaces and incorporate cost-profile understanding into pricing and packaging conversations.
  • Anticipate and communicate market trends relating to AI-native infrastructure patterns and translate them into actionable product direction.
  • Drive discussions across engineering, product, and commercial-facing PMs by providing clearly articulated problem statements for seamless cross-product experiences.
  • Support active customer engagements by partnering with commercial-facing PMs and contributing to executive-level conversations on architecture, value, and platform roadmap.
  • Track adoption and measure impact for product areas and iterate rapidly based on data and customer conversations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally working on a developer-focused SaaS platform, infrastructure, or data product.
  • Strong cross-organizational navigation skills, understanding how decisions are made across teams and keeping work moving.
  • Command of distributed data infrastructure concepts and ability to engage credibly with engineering on technical trade-offs, scalability constraints, and platform architecture.
  • Comfortable distilling complex architecture, cost-to-serve trade-offs, and product priorities into clear, actionable context.
  • Collaborative and opinionated, building trust quickly and adapting to new evidence.
  • Thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments with complex, cross-platform scope.
  • Highly customer-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to high quality standards.
  • Bonus: Experience with observability platforms, cloud-native infrastructure, multi-cloud or hybrid deployment models, data pipeline architecture, or pricing and packaging for platform products.
