About the Role
EDC is seeking an experienced finance professional to play a significant role within the Segment and Product Analytics Team. This team supports EDC's segment, product, and business line groups in reporting and analytics, strategic planning, and portfolio management. The successful candidate will provide detailed analysis and data on business performance to support decision-making. They will have a strong background in financial services and hands-on experience in sales and prospecting. This individual will be able to manage multiple matrix projects simultaneously and translate business data into accessible, timely insights that improve business processes. An excellent communicator, they will possess not only a natural curiosity for the 'why' behind situations but also the ability to explain them to various audiences. They will demonstrate resilience and confidence when managing difficult conversations, competing viewpoints, and demanding deliverables. They will have excellent analytical skills and be highly results-oriented while ensuring quality improvement to drive business outcomes and customer experience. Furthermore, the selected individual will be a team player and collaborate with other functional units to achieve EDC's overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic analysis and data that links customer, segment, product, and business performance to drive informed decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional complex analytics initiatives and large enterprise projects involving multiple stakeholders and business line teams.
- Develop, enhance, and govern reports, dashboards, and analytics products for senior management that provide clear insights into performance, trends, risks, opportunities, and progress against strategic objectives.
- Connect customers, products, sales, business plans, medium-term strategies, and scorecards to support decision-making within the organization.
- Translate complex analytical findings into compelling presentations, recommendations, and narratives tailored to various audiences, including technical teams, business partners, and senior executives.
- Create and maintain advanced financial, forecasting, and analytical models to support portfolio management, planning, risk assessment, performance metrics, and business projections.
- Utilize CRM software (C3/Salesforce), prospecting, and financial, operational, and third-party data to identify growth opportunities, portfolio trends, customer needs, and business outcome indicators.
- Establish and promote excellent data management practices, including data quality, consistency of key metrics, documentation, and alignment of reporting systems and business processes.
- Manage competing stakeholder priorities and viewpoints professionally and resiliently, with a focus on business outcomes.
- Identify and champion opportunities for business process improvement, customer experience enhancement, and overall business outcome improvement through data and analytics.
- Offer thought leadership, coaching, and mentoring to analysts and project teams to engage them, help them meet analytical standards, and sharpen their business acumen.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of EDC products (loans, insurance, and equity) and support for key performance and risk indicators.
- At least 7 years of experience in project management and analytics, with resilience in managing difficult conversations, competing viewpoints, and demanding deliverables.
- Proven ability to manage matrix teams or large enterprise projects and remove obstacles.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in using Excel (including Pivot Tables, VBA, and data management/validation tools) and financial modeling and analytics tools.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and workshop facilitation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information to various audiences, including technical teams and senior executives.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to assert oneself to highlight new opportunities for success.
- In-depth knowledge of business intelligence and reporting principles and practices.
