About the Role

The Community Office Manager is responsible for managing an assigned Community Office to meet the financial services needs of customers in the community. This role implements strategies to achieve office goals, ensures compliance with policies and regulations, and directly supervises staff while interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to achieve office goals.
  • Ensure compliance with operations policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements.
  • Directly supervise staff within the office.
  • Independently interact with customers.
  • Deliver solutions to customer situations.
  • Achieve personal sales/acquisition goals.
  • Motivate, coach, and mentor Community Office personnel towards goal attainment.
  • Understand, comply, and enforce operating policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements.
  • Actively develop customer relationships for long-term association.
  • Actively participate in the community as a representative of the bank.
  • Follow Community Office Manager Priorities as defined in the Retail Routines.
  • Lead by example in creating an exceptional customer service experience.
  • Monitor and correct deviations from customer service standards.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop staff in communicating bank products/services to achieve sales goals.
  • Actively manage the internal sales experience and create a sales culture.
  • Provide timely sales information and/or reports.
  • Support Group Manager, Retail Banking in ensuring office operations comply with Bank policies and procedures.
  • Establish quantitative sales objectives with Retail Regional Managers.
  • Develop individual sales plans for targeted achievement.
  • Independently solicit new business from present and prospective customers.
  • Maintain ongoing business relationships with current customers for cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of bank products and services to ascertain customer needs and sell accordingly.
  • Leverage and share product/service knowledge for staff development.
  • Make outside sales and customer service calls on present and prospective clients.
  • Oversee office platform and remedy customer situations.
  • Provide direct service to customers for deposit, loan, trust, and other products/services.
  • Open and close the Community Office.
  • Assist customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments.
  • Help customers with specific inquiries or service problems.
  • Guarantee signatures as required.
  • Perform special projects and other tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with operating policies and procedures to support regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with organizing work and activities of the Community Bank Office to achieve goals.
  • Monitor office efficiency and performance against standards.
  • Keep personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures.
  • Create an atmosphere where upward communication from employees is encouraged.
  • Administer personnel policies and procedures as established by Bank policy.
  • Actively participate in the community in a manner that reflects favorably on the bank.

Requirements

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Specialized banking education and training.
  • Notary certification or willingness to obtain as requested.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' related banking experience required.
