About the Role
Children of Promise, NYC (CPNYC) seeks a Talent Acquisition Manager to oversee all recruitment and onboarding activities under the direction of the Director of Human Resources. This role is crucial in supporting CPNYC's mission to advocate for children impacted by mass incarceration and create opportunities for them to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Manage recruitment efforts for all roles via the Paycom System.
- Own the internship program, including development and coordination.
- Conduct offboarding/exit surveys.
- Provide reports on recruitment activities.
- Attend job fairs and community-based recruiting initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing and development teams to create recruitment materials.
- Manage LinkedIn and Glassdoor sites for positive organizational representation.
- Collaborate with department heads on the onboarding and offboarding process.
- Serve as the primary recruiter for all agency positions, including interns.
- Build and maintain relationships with department managers to assess workforce needs.
- Implement effective and equitable hiring practices.
- Manage the full requisition process, ensuring accuracy and approval.
- Manage the full onboarding and offboarding process.
- Post positions internally and externally.
- Screen resumes and proactively source candidates.
- Conduct preliminary interviews and maintain professional communication with candidates.
- Evaluate candidates and support final hiring decisions.
- Maintain accurate recruitment tracking tools and reports.
- Develop and sustain partnerships with colleges, universities, and workforce development organizations.
- Execute the Offer of Employment process, including extending offers and preparing letters.
- Coordinate reference checks and initiate background screenings.
- Coordinate onboarding for all new hires and interns.
- Prepare and maintain new hire packets.
- Review hire documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Create and maintain employee personnel files.
- Coordinate with IT/technology partners for new hire setup.
- Facilitate new hire orientation sessions.
- Enter and process new hire information in Paycom HRIS.
- Research emerging DEIA trends, best practices, and legal considerations.
- Support the development and implementation of an equity framework.
- Implement inclusive recruitment and retention strategies.
- Partner with leadership to execute targeted diversity recruitment initiatives.
- Support training for hiring managers and HR staff on inclusive practices.
- Facilitate and track completion of all required new hire and mandatory trainings.
- Support assessment of organizational training needs.
- Collaborate to implement consistent development initiatives.
- Assist in planning and coordinating agency-wide professional development programs.
- Track and manage annual training requirements and completion records.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives.
- Support the creation and facilitation of employee recognition programs.
- Assist in developing and administering employee surveys.
- Promote an open-door culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of administrative experience in human resources, talent acquisition or benefits field required.
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple administrative tasks and follow appropriate workflow priorities.
- Experience in addressing customer service requests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Capacity to undertake use of other automated human resource database systems, as needed.
- Ability and willingness to learn about the position requirements.
- Passion about HR and Talent Acquisition methods.
