About the Role
We are building a company to de-risk the largest infrastructure build-out in history by creating a liquid market for GPU offtake. We are looking for a Brand Designer to shape and execute our visual identity across all touchpoints, working directly with the CEO to translate ideas into a cohesive visual identity for product launches, marketing, web, events, and company storytelling. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building from first principles in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Translate ideas and direction into strong visual concepts by shaping and evolving SF Compute's visual identity across digital and physical experiences.
- Design for web, marketing campaigns, social media, presentations, events, and other brand touchpoints.
- Develop and maintain a clear, consistent visual system: transform broad ideas and strategic direction into compelling visual concepts.
- Move quickly from exploration to polished execution: build and maintain a scalable design system that keeps the brand consistent as we grow.
- Move seamlessly from early exploration to polished execution while balancing quality and speed.
- Work closely and directly with our CEO throughout the process.
Requirements
- Exceptional visual taste with a high standard for craft and attention to detail.
- Strong typography, composition, visual identity, layout and digital design skills.
- Ability to take loosely defined problems and turn them into clear, thoughtful creative work.
- Comfortable working independently, iterating quickly, and collaborating across disciplines.
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong brand thinking, not just polished visuals.
- Please apply with your portfolio and a brief introduction.
- Experience designing for developer tools, infrastructure, AI, or enterprise software.
- Experience creating brands from the ground up or evolving brands through periods of rapid growth.

About the Company
- We are building the company which will de-risk the largest infrastructure build-out in history.
- When people finance GPU clusters, the datacenters housing them, and the infrastructure powering them, they need "offtake" - meaning someone has signed a contract to lease the cluster for a period of time before its even built.
- Financing a GPU cluster is inherently risky, since margins are thin and volumes are huge. Lenders don't want to take on the risk that cluster developers can't repay their loan, and cluster developers really don't want to risk not selling their cluster. As a result, risk is offloaded to the customer using fixed-price long-term contracts.
- If you don't mitigate this customer risk, there's a bubble. This isn't SaaS anymore - application layer companies sign multi-year contracts for computer and inference, but sell to customers on monthly subscriptions. If you mess up a purchase, it's game over: a minor shift in your revenue growth rate might mean the difference between profit or bankruptcy. But what if companies could exit their contract by selling it back to the market?
- Otherwise, as AI scales, compute only becomes available to folks who can effectively take on that risk. A 2-person startup in a San Francisco Victorian can't realistically sign a 5-year take or pay contract on $100m supercomputers. But they may be able to buy the month of liquidity that someone else sold back.
- So that's what we make: a liquid market for GPU offtake.
