About the Role
The App Runtime team is building a platform that enables users to create and deploy web applications quickly. This role involves driving initiatives across product areas and the tech stack, directly shaping the developer experience on an early-stage product. It requires expertise in web frameworks, UX design, customer focus, and collaboration with backend teams.
Responsibilities
- Build AI-assisted development experiences for App Runtime across React, Go, Python, and Java.
- Author technical and design specifications and implement critical code, considering the system holistically.
- Collaborate directly with customers (developers) to translate their needs into features and improvements.
- Enhance quality, reliability, and performance through code reviews and mentorship.
- Coordinate with related teams such as Cortex AI, Container Platform, and Security.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack software development.
- Demonstrated track record of designing, shipping, and operating high-scale systems.
- Deep understanding of modern web application architecture (e.g., React, NextJS).
- Proficiency in API design patterns, security, performance, and scale.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, ideally also in Go, Python, and/or Java.
- Strong communication skills, including crisp write-ups, constructive debate, and driving consensus.
