About the Role
You will work in the Everyday Banking domain for the Payments team, managing and processing payment and card transactions with modern, high-volume systems to ensure the best customer experience. These systems make banking easy, reliable, seamless, and secure for every customer.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead on architecting and completing new features.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software.
- Mentor junior team members by ensuring code quality through pull requests and providing assistance.
- Stay updated on technology trends and propose findings during Get Stuff Done Days.
- Uphold high technical standards within the cross-functional team.
Requirements
- Experience developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems.
- Sound understanding of microservice architecture.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.
- Appreciation of modern cloud architecture, preferably with AWS.
- Actively help yourself and others be successful.
- Continuously learn and challenge the status quo.
- Think globally, act locally.
- Strong bias for action and giving/receiving open, direct, and timely feedback.
