About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager, Infrastructure Delivery to join the Enterprise Infrastructure PMO. This role requires leading large, complex infrastructure initiatives while maturing teams toward more agile delivery methods. The ideal candidate can operate confidently in both traditional and agile environments, understanding scope, schedule, budget, risks, vendors, governance, and executive reporting, as well as agile principles like backlog visibility, incremental planning, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solve problems by working with infrastructure teams, sponsors, and technical leads to keep work moving, remove blockers, and escalate risks.
  • Lead through both traditional and agile delivery methods, applying appropriate planning, governance, and iterative checkpoints.
  • Own large, high-complexity infrastructure initiatives from initiation through delivery, including planning, scope definition, milestone management, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate work across multiple technical teams, business groups, vendors, and stakeholders, identifying dependencies and clarifying ownership.
  • Help teams improve visibility, planning, and delivery health by supporting backlog hygiene, intake practices, prioritization, and retrospectives.
  • Simplify processes, protect engineering time, and use meetings, reporting, and documentation effectively to aid decision-making.
  • Communicate complex infrastructure delivery details clearly to various audiences, including engineers, managers, sponsors, and senior leadership.
  • Actively manage initiative health by surfacing risks, driving mitigation plans, maintaining decision records, and helping stakeholders understand trade-offs.
  • Partner with sponsors, technical leads, and engineering managers to manage difficult conversations, align priorities, and anchor work to business goals.
  • Support budget tracking, vendor coordination, resource planning, and project-based funding discussions.
  • Work with infrastructure teams across networking, cloud, hosting, endpoint management, security, and other technology areas, asking good questions and recognizing risk.
  • Move forward in ambiguous environments by identifying next steps, bringing people together, and creating clarity for teams.
  • Improve project and agile delivery practices by sharing learnings and contributing to practical standards, tools, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 7 years of project management experience in technology, infrastructure, enterprise IT, or related environments.
  • Candidates with 5 or more years of strong agile project delivery experience may also be considered.
  • Proven experience leading large, complex, cross-functional projects with multiple teams, senior stakeholders, technical dependencies, and high business visibility.
  • Strong project management foundation, including scope, schedule, budget, risk management, issue management, dependency tracking, stakeholder communications, governance, and delivery reporting.
  • Practical understanding of agile delivery methods, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, backlog management, sprint or iteration planning, retrospectives, team metrics, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to bridge agile teams and traditional corporate governance needs, translating delivery data, team progress, risks, and dependencies into clear project health updates and leadership-level reporting.
  • Experience working with infrastructure, platform, operations, cloud, networking, security, endpoint, service management, media systems, workplace technology, or enterprise technology teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams or related projects simultaneously while maintaining sound judgment, clear priorities, and strong stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong ability to partner with sponsors and technical leads, navigate ambiguity, manage difficult stakeholders, resolve conflict, and drive decisions.
  • Experience with financial tracking, project budgets, vendor coordination, resource planning conversations, and cost or benefit analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable using Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and other project, portfolio, or agile delivery tools.
  • Experience improving boards, dashboards, intake workflows, and reporting is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive summaries, delivery plans, RAID logs, schedules, decision records, Steering Committee materials, and implementation readiness documentation.
  • Experience with organizational change management, communication planning, implementation coordination, production readiness, operational handoffs, and post-delivery retrospectives.
