Responsibilities
- Providing gentle reminders, redirection, and structure to reduce confusion and anxiety
- Assisting with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals with respect and patience
- Helping maintain a calm, familiar, and organized environment with basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing
- Driving clients to appointments, running errands, and grocery shopping
- Offering conversation, music, memory games, or sensory activities tailored to cognitive needs
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid NY Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) Certification
- Valid driver’s license, with access to a reliable transportation
- TB Clearance or Chest X-Ray
- Caregivers must comply with state background screening requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the US
