About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining production efficiency, product quality, and safety across our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using various techniques including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding as required by job specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding procedures, joint types, and material requirements.
- Prepare workpieces by cleaning, aligning, and securing materials using clamps, jigs, or fixtures.
- Conduct pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure structural integrity and compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of flammable materials.
- Document welding procedures, inspection results, and maintenance logs in compliance with quality management systems.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve production issues and improve workflow efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety training programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes; experience with stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Familiarity with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods and quality inspection tools (e.g., gauges, calipers).
- Knowledge of ANSI, AWS, and ASME welding codes and standards.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime, as needed to meet production demands.
