About the Role

POP MART is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support its expansion in the United States. This role involves overseeing store operations, ensuring a positive customer and employee experience, and identifying areas for improvement. The Assistant Store Manager will report to the Store Manager and act as a subject matter expert on POP MART's brand and products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Brand Associates, setting expectations, goals, and developing talent.
  • Act as the manager on duty, focused on delivering results while enabling a positive customer and employee experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
  • Set high store standards that reflect company brand image, values, and culture.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on POP MART's core business information, including characters, products, and company history.
  • Support company marketing events such as in-store events, pop-up events, conventions, and new store openings.
  • Support the company's RoboShop business as needed and follow up with in-store RoboShop employees and business partners.
  • Improve sales performance and meet key performance indicators such as store conversion, units per transaction, dollars per transaction, and store sales trends.
  • Drive sales of key products such as Blind boxes, MEGA, and accessories.
  • Execute Visual Merchandising and Marketing directives from business partners.
  • Install marketing decals, props, set up new merchandising planograms, and set up marketing fixtures.
  • Remerchandise the sales floor based on product sell-through or slow-moving product, making strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with the Inventory Assistant Store Manager to determine back-of-house and warehouse inventory levels.
  • Be responsible for back-of-house organization, inventory management, receiving/transferring of goods, and weekly/quarterly inventory auditing.

Requirements

  • More than 2 years of store leadership experience in retail.
  • High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust.
  • Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and implement new standardization directives.
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per shift).
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders or step stools safely.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as unpacking boxes, tagging items, and stocking shelves.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment that may require quick movements and multitasking.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including stockroom and receiving areas.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate standard stockroom tools (e.g., box cutters).
