About the Role

JLL is hiring a Building Operator to join the property maintenance team. The Operator will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment, building operations, lighting, plumbing, and electrical/mechanical systems. The role involves responding to tenant calls, performing trade work, assisting with preventative maintenance, and managing water treatment. This position operates on a rotating shift schedule with on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Respond to tenant and user service calls and complaints quickly and efficiently.
Perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical.
Provide assistance to other building operations staff in preventative maintenance and electrical maintenance.
Perform water treatment testing and analysis, adjusting chemical feed to maintain proper levels.
Act as relief for other similar positions.
Complete custodial housekeeping tasks in mechanical/electrical areas.
Perform other related duties as required and reasonably assigned.

Requirements

5 years’ experience in building repairs/operations.
Aptitude to learn state-of-the-art Building Automation Systems.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to react swiftly and accurately to crisis situations.
Ability to respond to unexpected emergency call-backs.
Ability to perform job requirements with minimal supervision and complete tasks per agreed deadlines.
