About the Role
This role offers a forward-thinking, innovative paralegal the opportunity to work with a like-minded team and organization, supporting AVEVA’s growing business with a variety of in-house legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Administering incoming Know Your Customer flag clearance requests and managing the central inbox/service desk.
- Managing business expectations regarding review and response timelines.
- Supporting reviews of potential compliance concerns related to customers and seeking resolution.
- Administering AVEVA’s screening system, including settings, user management, and escalation routes.
- Maintaining high standards of record-keeping for legal decision-making.
- Conducting ad-hoc legal research to support live issues.
- Supporting updates to AVEVA’s policies and protocols.
- Attending meetings with the legal team to discuss trade compliance matters and provide solutions.
- Reviewing customer contract extracts to advise on trade compliance protections and deviations.
- Liaising with commercial legal, operations, and sales for transaction details and risk assessments.
- Conducting reviews of internal policies and providing legal commentary.
Requirements
- A proven track record of managing a varied workload and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in maintaining high ethical and compliance standards within an organization.
- Solid computer skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to learn, be flexible to changing priorities, and demonstrate excellence.
