About the Role

This role involves stacking and grading mouldings, applying wood fill, and operating a hand sander. Additional duties include cleaning equipment and assisting with moulder setup during downtime. The position requires repetitive lifting of boards up to 40 lbs and standing for the entire shift in a high-noise environment.

Responsibilities

• Stack mouldings onto a cart coming out of the moulder.
• Grade each piece of moulding to the grading specs.
• Apply wood fill to affected moldings during moulding production.
• Operate a hand sander to buff out filler.
• Clean out of moulder when not running.
• Clean departmental area.
• Band bunks of mouldings.
• Assist with moulder set up when possible.
• Stack in the Rough Mill.
• Package in the Packing Department.
• Operate the Resaw.
• Catch moldings in the Sanding Department.
• Clean production equipment in other departments.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and participate in SOP modification.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to operate a palm/hand sander.
• Must wear hearing protection.
• Must wear eye protection at all times.
