About the Role

Guidepoint is seeking an entrepreneurial and outgoing individual to join its Insights business, offering teleconferences, surveys, and in-person events to institutional investment and corporate clients. The product features experts from Guidepoint’s global network and is hosted by former investment professionals and industry experts.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and represent the Guidepoint Insights product to institutional clients including traditional asset managers, hedge funds, family offices and private equity firms.
  • Increase penetration and usage of the Insights product across Guidepoint's existing client base.
  • Highlight upcoming events to appropriate clients and foster dialogue with Guidepoint sector specialists using a high-touch approach (phone, email, Bloomberg, in-person meetings).
  • Map client preferences (sector focus, frequency of email notifications) across organizations to ensure the right content is delivered to the right individuals.
  • Form critical relationships with Portfolio Managers and Analysts to understand their research needs, collect feedback and explain our value proposition.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting to help generate new account leads.
  • Work closely with Guidepoint’s analysts to understand key upcoming events and summarize takeaways from recent teleconferences.

Requirements

  • Excellent communicator capable of calling on high-profile clients at hedge funds, mutual funds and private equity.
  • Broad based knowledge of the sales process from lead generation to relationship management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the institutional investment process.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented entrepreneurial environment.
  • Meticulous organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle increasing responsibility over time.
  • Minimum of 3 years of institutional sales, business development or account management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Salary/Compensations

  • $100,000 to $150,000 USD
