Responsibilities
- Support practice teams’ marketing efforts, including organizing meetings and identifying client opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of the legal market and firm’s litigation capabilities to enhance marketing initiatives.
- Manage RFP/proposal responses and pitch meeting preparations, including content gathering, competitive intelligence, and logistics.
- Collaborate to create and update marketing collateral such as website content, brochures, and practice profiles.
- Plan and execute client events, including webinars, conferences, and sponsorships, managing all aspects from budget to follow-up.
- Work with Public Relations and Communications teams to leverage media opportunities and support firm blogs.
- Prepare Chambers, Legal 500, and other directory submissions in coordination with the Communications Team.
- Track practice and service activity, collecting matter summaries for experience databases and directory reporting.
- Support the integration of lateral attorneys with bio creation, press releases, and business development planning.
- Stay informed about client development targets to suggest expansion opportunities and conduct research.
- Respond to requests from lawyers, staff, and vendors, providing excellent customer service.
- Assist the Litigation Group Chair and Director of Business Development with practice development projects.
- Perform other duties as requested and assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in professional services marketing.
- Law firm litigation experience with Antitrust, Securities Litigation, and/or White Collar practices is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
- Extremely high attention to detail.
- Strong legal writing and proofreading skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage projects, multitask, and prioritize.
- Comfortable managing tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide individualized client service and be proactive in bringing strategic ideas.
- Strong analytical and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to speak effectively and respond to inquiries from all levels.
- Interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with partners, attorneys, clients, and staff.
- Responsiveness, diplomacy, and professionalism in interactions.
