About the Role
Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring experienced Diesel Mechanics, Trailer Technicians, and Reefer Technicians to support fleet maintenance and refrigerated transport operations in Johnstown, NY. Enjoy flexible 3 or 4-day schedules, premium pay, and strong benefits.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, reefers, and APUs.
- Conduct brake, suspension, and DOT/FHWA inspections.
- Diagnose electrical systems and ABS brakes.
- Perform tire services including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and flat repairs.
- Complete trailer structural repairs, rear door repairs, and washouts.
- Troubleshoot APUs and assist with road service calls.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and shop equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in diesel, trailer, or refrigeration.
- Experience with DOT inspections and air brakes is required.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Must obtain a toolbox and the required tools.
- Must have a strong work ethic and team-focused mindset.
