About the Role
This role involves assisting with security and privacy investigations, conducting forensic analysis of digital information, and supporting clients through data security matters, breaches, and litigation. You will work with business stakeholders to develop innovative tools and communicate findings to support the evolving forensic landscape.
Responsibilities
- Assist with security and privacy investigations in response to data security matters, breaches, and fraud
- Perform problem solving and forensic analysis of digital information using standard techniques and tools
- Apply investigative techniques and scientific reasoning to analyze various systems
- Identify, research, and organize information to determine hacker activity or data theft
- Defensibly collect digital evidence and maintain chain-of-custody documentation
- Leverage programming, model building, and database administration skills
- Communicate investigative findings to team members and clients
- Draft written reports summarizing procedures and findings
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new tools for the forensic landscape
- Stay current with developments in digital forensics, software tools, e-discovery, and incident response
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree candidates graduating December 2026 or Summer 2027
- Academic focus in Cybersecurity, Computer Science and Engineering, Digital Forensics, Management Information Systems, Security Information Systems, or related field
- Strong understanding of computer operating systems, software, and hardware
- Ability to conduct detailed forensic investigations of computers, networks, mobile devices, and removable media
- Experience with digital forensic analyses including file system, memory, and network analysis
- Experience with static/dynamic malware analysis and threat hunting
- Strong understanding of evidence handling and chain-of-custody procedures
- Experience drafting technical and investigative reports
- Familiarity with legal concepts related to intellectual property
- Experience with automation tools and scripts
- Understanding of incident handling procedures and common attack techniques
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities
- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills
