About the Role
Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Scheduling Manager to prepare summary level and detailed schedules for proposed or current construction projects. The role involves working with project teams to establish sequencing, durations, and logic, monitoring progress, and analyzing resources.
Responsibilities
- Prepare summary-level schedules for proposed projects, establishing sequencing, durations, and general logic.
- Prepare detailed schedules for projects and monitor progress against baseline.
- Develop and analyze man-hour resources, equipment resources, and cost-loaded, time-phased schedules.
- Assist with schedule needs related to contract vs. accelerated schedules.
- Provide schedules for issuance with contracts or bid documents to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Work with subcontractors and suppliers to establish timely deliveries of equipment and materials.
- Perform Progress/Schedule Updates by visiting projects to gather information and interfacing with the project team on actuals and projections.
- Maintain historical schedule data and provide reports when required.
- Provide impact analysis of schedule changes, identify variances and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide scheduling training, including schedule fundamentals, philosophy, and P6 software training.
- Provide technical support to personnel maintaining project schedules or three-week look-ahead schedules.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have 5+ years of experience in heavy highway/civil aviation construction.
- Must have experience using Primavera (Oracle) P6.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
