About the Role
The Senior Lead Product Manager is responsible for evaluating and determining product(s) and/or features to be built and delivered. This role will build, align, and motivate a cross-functional team to develop a common understanding of customer pain points and drive innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Builds the right cross-functional team to obtain a common understanding of customer pain points, empathy and excitement for solving customer issues and driving product revenue.
- Articulates product strategy and vision across the enterprise across multiple products.
- Brings the customer viewpoint to the product design process with a demonstrated competency to actively listen to customer feedback across all touchpoints and channels.
- Leverages customer feedback into insights to build products and services that delight and inspire.
- Works closely with marketing, research, analytics, design and development partners, uses technical savvy and customer insights to develop real-world solutions.
- Uses insights about the market and industry to drive development of value-added solutions for customers.
- Oversees the integration of strong risk and security controls.
- Ensures compliance to laws and regulations.
- Works directly with technologists to deliver market solutions.
- Clearly defines requirements, grooms user stories, motivates technical teams and partners with technology closely.
- Define and execute the product strategy for Zelle as a payment method in eCommerce, delivering differentiated experiences for merchants, financial institutions, and consumers.
- Partner with merchants, financial institutions, payment service providers (PSPs), gateways, and strategic advisors to shape product direction and validate market opportunities.
- Lead product discovery by translating customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence into innovative payment experiences and product requirements.
- Define merchant and consumer payment experiences that optimize conversion, trust, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction across digital commerce channels.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Risk, Fraud, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Operations to deliver scalable, secure, and customer-centric commerce payment solutions.
- Leverage deep expertise in payment authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, disputes, and merchant operations to design solutions that integrate seamlessly into modern commerce ecosystems.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept and business case through requirements, pilot execution, commercialization, and General Availability.
- Define success metrics and monitor product performance, including merchant adoption, transaction conversion, payment success rates, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
Requirements
- Typically 9+ years of product management experience in payments, fintech, commerce, or related industries.
- Proven experience taking products from idea to launch.
- Deep understanding of payment processing, including: authorization, clearing and settlement, dispute and chargeback management, and merchant and consumer payment experiences.
- Strong customer discovery, product strategy, and roadmap development skills.
- Experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and create clarity for teams and stakeholders.

- $150,000 - $200,000 (Phoenix, AZ/ Chicago, IL)
- $180,000 - $240,000 (New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA)
