About the Role
The Operations Manager / Chief Engineer for Mobile Technical Services oversees engineering and maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery for clients and building occupants.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily working staff levels based on operational goals and facility needs.
- Ensure engineering staff are qualified and trained for their duties.
- Develop and document maintenance plans including preventive, predictive, and reactive procedures.
- Identify and remediate safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and infrastructure guidelines.
- Collaborate with Property and Project management on capital work plans, infrastructure upgrades, and equipment replacements.
- Provide client project support and ensure contractors understand critical building functions.
- Communicate owner/landlord processes to engineers and contractors.
- Participate in company purchasing initiatives for parts and materials.
- Gather information for business reporting purposes.
- Perform on-site Quality Assurance inspections.
- Manage Mobile Technical Services (MTS) or static team resources.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of eight years of technical and supervisory experience in building engineering.
- Strong background in technical aspects of packaged HVAC equipment repair, maintenance, and system design.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer-based applications including Excel and Word.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
