About the Role

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Chiller/HVAC Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, and repair on chillers and other HVAC equipment at Heathrow Airport. This role involves troubleshooting, system maintenance, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance, and repair work on various chillers and other HVAC equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical service issues within a set timeframe.
  • Carrying out system PPM as per contract requirements.
  • Communicating findings and recommendations for system improvement, upgrades, or optimizations.
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the service engineer role within the air conditioning industry.
  • Experience & working knowledge with Chillers, DX, Split & VRV systems, AHUs & ventilation plant.
  • Experience working with major manufacturers such as York, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Hitachi, and Mitsubishi Electric.
  • Electrical and controls experience to be able to identify and rectify electrical and control issues.
  • Understanding of relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, psychometric diagrams.
  • Capable of working without documented procedures and with limited supervision.
  • A committed can-do positive attitude with the ability to integrate and work as a member of a team.
  • A full UK driving license.
