Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for sales teams and distributors for assigned product lines and countries.
- Develop in-depth knowledge in Spine and Neurosurgery products.
- Act as a product consultant for the sales team and distributors.
- Provide in-service support as needed.
- Serve as the point of contact for assigned countries to liaise between Medtronic regional functional teams and local market sales teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop Strategic Marketing Plans, Market Development Plans, New Product Launches, Marketing Communications, Promotion, and Pricing Strategies.
- Organize and conduct product training for sales teams, distributors, and healthcare professionals.
- Prepare sales/marketing materials and clinical papers for field staff.
- Collect and analyze market information to develop response plans to market situations and competitor activities.
- Maintain close liaison with Medtronic Operating Units and Marketing teams for product knowledge.
- Foster and maintain good relationships with clinicians.
- Develop training programs with key training centers and societies.
- Lead country-specific marketing events with in-country sales teams, such as conferences and workshops.
- Manage inventory, drive product forecasting, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain healthy inventory levels.
Requirements
- University Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Medical device sales or product management.
- Medical background is highly preferred.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Highly motivated individual comfortable working in a matrix environment.
- Ability to understand business strategy.
- Proven ability to coordinate, plan, organize, monitor, and conclude a project.
- Cross-geography collaboration experience may be an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to extract critical information from databases.
- Computer literacy, including sound knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Proven evidence of Medtronic Core Behaviors.
- For sales reps and other patient-facing field employees, going into a healthcare setting is considered an essential function of the job and employees are expected to comply with all credentialing requirements at the hospitals or clinics they support.
