About the Role
We are seeking a Client Manager to join the MKTG team, focusing on delivering and implementing exciting collaborations in Sport and Entertainment. This role supports the management of client businesses and day-to-day activities, ensuring on-time delivery and excellence in execution for key F1 team sponsorships, with a focus on the global show car and gaming rig programmes. The position involves working closely with the global team to shape the future vision for the account and unlock opportunities across the EU.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and connections.
- Understand client businesses, industry competitors, and client motivations to support marketing goals.
- Lead by example in client service excellence and time management.
- Take ownership of client/account fees and activation budgets, reporting on commercials.
- Effectively manage retained client work and project work, including end-to-end project management.
- Manage partnership rights, utilization, merchandise, campaign planning, and activations.
- Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
- Set timelines, expectations, and meet deadlines for the client team.
- Support Directors with resource and workload management on designated projects.
- Ensure timesheets are completed accurately and on time.
- Oversee finance-related activities on the account.
- Lead key culture initiatives and demonstrate company culture and values to the junior team.
- Support new business functions by participating in proposals and pitch processes.
- Identify and build opportunities from current and new clients.
- Prepare proposals and costings for projects with Director support.
- Participate in thought leadership through written, presentation, and verbal formats.
- Stay knowledgeable about the industry and sponsorship processes.
- Focus on personal development through team management and leadership training.
- Act as a mentor and coach to direct reports, promoting an inclusive environment.
- Provide regular feedback and conduct 1-on-1s focusing on performance.
- Discuss and agree on performance objectives and L&D opportunities.
Requirements
- Previous F1 experience and strong knowledge of sponsorships and partnerships within Formula 1.
- Proven, consistent experience in marketing (agency, client, or rights holder side).
- Proven, consistent experience working on sport, ambassador, music, or entertainment sponsorships and activation programmes.
- Demonstrable experience in project management and client servicing excellence.
- Good understanding of brand ambassador management.
- Good understanding of the wider marketing landscape.
- Superstar project management skills.
- Strategic and logical thinking to provide council on best-in-class solutions.
- Acumen to analyze business performance for clients and measure sponsorship accountability.
- Team mentality, building high-performing teams through line management and project work.
