About the Role
The Content Sports Marketing department at ESPN creates and executes live sport marketing strategies across streaming and linear television platforms, covering a wide range of sports. The Sports Marketing Coordinator supports the marketing and promotional planning and execution for key sports properties, acting as a liaison between various internal and external teams to deliver engaging strategies to fans.
Responsibilities
- Supports creative development and execution of marketing materials.
- Builds creative deliverables and timelines to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion.
- Develops relationships and production timelines with internal creative teams.
- Ensures accuracy and excellence of all work, both internal and agency-produced.
- Provides input on creative development and execution of marketing materials.
- Partners closely with Media on the scheduling and delivery of on and off-channel assets.
- Manages day-to-day correspondence with internal and external creative partners, relaying feedback and managing timelines.
- Develops a full understanding of programming schedules and sponsor requirements for accurate marketing materials.
- Aides in budget management.
- Works with research and media teams to translate data into strategic inputs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of related marketing or business experience.
- Understanding of marketing fundamentals, creative evaluation, and budget management.
- Impressive verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive energy with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
- Fundamental understanding of the ESPN portfolio, including its DTC product ESPN+.
- Sports knowledge from both a fan and business perspective.
