About the Role

The Management Accountant will partner with the Financial Controller to manage the financial reporting, controllership, and treasury functions for the Lloyd Warwick International group. This includes month and year-end close, financial reporting, transaction processing, financial analysis, compliance, and tax return submissions. The role also involves managing intercompany balances, group cash, and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end closing procedures, including WIP management, processing of journals, overhead allocations and account reconciliations.
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis for all regions.
  • Prepare monthly accounting packs for senior management with analysis of variances against prior year and budget.
  • Ensure financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with regional accounting standards.
  • Maintain control of the general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, and balance sheet management.
  • Process intercompany transactions and reconcile balances between entities.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist with audit procedures and management of audit timelines.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure payments for claim-related work are proportionate to payments received from insurers.
  • Review and submit corporation tax provisional and annual returns.
  • Review and submit VAT/GST quarterly returns.
  • Assist with compliance with all other tax and regulations across the group.
  • Support the Financial Controller, Director - Financial Planning and Performance, and Corporate Finance in budget preparation.
  • Review expenditure to ensure it is within expected limits and provide variance analysis.
  • Support the Financial Controller in implementing process & system change, and controls.
  • Ensure appropriate segregation of duties.
  • Perform any other tasks or projects as required.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA equivalent)
  • 3-5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using accounting software (preferably Sage 300 and SAP)
  • Ability to produce high-quality information to strict deadlines
  • Adaptable with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Confidence in communicating with finance and non-finance employees at all levels
